Like all good parents, Bruce and Kris Jenner support their children's decisions—but that doesn't mean they don't question them.
The patriarch and matriarch of the Kardashian clan sat down with Ellen DeGeneres this week and discussed—with somewhat surprising honesty—just what they think of Kim Kardashian's infamous 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.
And let's just say, if Bruce has his overprotective way, it's not a series of events that will likely be repeated.

"I trust my kids and we give them a lot of support," Kris said. "As a mom, you want your kids to be really happy. What makes them happy makes us happy. It's our job to support them so I don't question some of their decisions. Obviously we have internal conversations…What the hell are you doing?"
At that, Bruce "Voice of Reason" Jenner jumped right in.
"Maybe we should start questioning some of their decisions. They're adults. Kim, once she got into the relationship, it was going so fast. Kimberly is in love. She's now 31 years old. She's not married, doesn't have any kids. I mean, she wants that in her life and she was pushing for it.

"I think once she got into it, she realized this is not going to work. And she knew she was going to take the heat. If it ended in 72 days or three years from now, she would've taken the heat. She's a smart woman and said, hey, 'I have to cut my losses and move on.' It was horrible. I felt terrible."
The protective papa went on to say that Kim is "a very strong woman" and that while she ultimately made the right decision, in the future, there would be a much more stringent vetting system in place before the family welcomed anyone in with open arms. And yes, it's a vetting system of one.
"The next guy's got to go through me," he said.

"He's really tough," Kris added. "He's tougher than I am."
And after Bruce's boast that "I can tell if it's going to work or not," Ellen asked the obvious followup: "Did you know now that it would not have worked with Kris?"
"I had my questions," he answered. "I remember when Kris came to me. We were playing golf and he asked me is it OK for me to ask for her hand in marriage? In the back of my head, I said, 'I don't know if she is going to say yes.' But it's not my decision."
Not this time, anyway. Future suitors, you've been warned.
