The late icon's ex-husband hit the stage Saturday night with his group New Edition for a concert in Connecticut, and he found a touching way to acknowledge her.

The singer joined his bandmates on stage at the Mohegan Sun Arena three songs in, to serenade the sold-out crowd with "Hit Me Off."
Bobby not only received a standing ovation but took a moment and raised a finger heavenward in honor of the legendary songstress, offering: "Blessings to my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. I love you."

After Houston's death, the status of Brown's participation on tour was understandably uncertain after he missed performances in Cincinnati and Nashville and then regrouped days later for shows in Memphis, Baltimore and Greensboro and now at Mohegan Sun.
Brown is expected on stage again tomorrow at the Newark PAC in New Jersey.
