Friends and family said a final farewell to the iconic pop singer Sunday at a private, invite-only burial at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J., where Houston was laid to rest next to her father, John Russell Houston Jr.

Houston's body was transported to the cemetery in a gold hearse, followed by a black Chevy pickup truck filled with flowers that included light purple roses, pink carnations and white lilies.
The police-escorted processional was small, with only six limos (three gold, three black), about five cars and a large black SUV.
Fans reportedly called out "We Love you, Whitney!" and tossed rose petals as the hearse made its way to the burial plot. The driver was heard playing "I Will Always Love You."
This was a big difference from Houston's much-larger funeral service yesterday at Newark's New Hope Baptist Church, which was packed with mourners from all over the country, and served as a spiritual, emotional, celebration of the diva's all-too-short life.

Houston's family and friends delivered a touching and uplifting tribute to the late singer at the "home going" service, with the likes of Alicia Keys, Steve Wonder, R. Kelly, Clive Davis, Donny McClurkin and many more honoring Houston through song, prayer and shared remembrances.
The Grammy-winning performer, whose voice was truly unforgettable, died Feb. 11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
