Start Your Acting Career, Become A Good Actor

by Laura Renoldsin Entertainment / Celebrities    (submitted 2012-02-17)

Seeing actor and actresses on the silver screen might bring out the impression that, it's pretty easy what they do. Actually it's easy to think about it that way, but if you slip your feet in their shoes you may get blisters right away. An actor is a master of his/her emotions. They dominate and imitate their emotion to present a life like experience in front of our eyes. Some people think that, acting is in their genes because of some previous achievements of their parents. But in real life, there is no possible way to be a good actor without learning the way to reveal feelings through expressions. A good actor is capable of digging out normal reaction of any simulated situation through hard work and dedication, and that's what separates them from all others.
A person who desires to become an actor must go through a series of grooming and training to lose out the inhibitions and shyness as there is no way around. There are a few common problems that come between an actor and his/her achievements. Learning how to tackle these hurdles may bear fruit in near future. So, let's talk about them.

Adjustment turmoil

New actors often develop fear towards stage or road side audience. They show interest in performing in either studio or in cinema. Their confidence and ability to perform under pressure melts down when placed in an unfamiliar environment. This is a severe problem for an actor. To revive themselves from this situation they must appear in live performance as frequently as possible.

Be humble

Success is hard to find. One may or may not find it at the first time. But losing hope is not an option. Use your will to fuel your hard work; and soon you'll get what you've desired. Success sometimes blooms arrogance and carelessness in to an actor. Always remember that, an arrogant actor may fly high but will land hard in future. So, never let your success and stardom take over your humbleness. Always have the urge to learn new things.

Absorb all

Becoming a famous actor doesn't mean you have learned all. There is no limit for entertainment, and to keep your fan and followers satisfied you must keep learning more and more every day. Talk with your 'fans' and learn what change they would like to see in you. Try new things while acting, give your followers surprises and stay their favorite forever.

Follow Direction

Everyone loves a creative and intelligent actor, use your creativity in your recess time and come up with new ways to show your emotions. But never try to break director's chain of command. Your work is to bring life to a character through acting and this can be achieved only by working exactly as your director commands. So, respect his visualization of the character that you are going to play and do your best to enjoy your work while giving the best.

Keep these simple things in mind and you'll surely be recognized as a good actor soon enough.

Reese Witherspoon Opens Up About Acting In 1991 MTV Interview

Check out the vintage clip in advance of Tuesday's 'MTV First: Reese Witherspoon.'By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212)

Reese Witherspoon is slated to sit down with MTV News on Tuesday for an exclusive interview and premiere of a previously unseen clip from her upcoming film "This Means War." The special, "MTV First: Reese Witherspoon," will air on January 31 at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV.

But before we look to the future, we are going to take a peep at her past. MTV News has uncovered a precious vintage gem, a 1991 interview with the then up-and-comer. "Ever since I was 7," the already precocious and sassy rookie told MTV News when asked whether she had always had her sights set on a career in Hollywood. "I just thought, I always wanted to do something really outgoing 'cause when I was little I was really kind of quiet, but you know, I'd always be really creative at home and stuff, and finally I started, you know, speaking out and doing little things to impress everybody."

She further explained that once she had decided that acting was something she wanted to do, she took the necessary steps to make sure she'd be ready for fame and stardom. "I started taking little acting classes and improv classes and, you know, [that] turned out to be what I was going to do," she said. "I was always going to do something really out there, really far away. Does that make any sense? No, not really."

Later mocking herself and her answer, she teased, "That's nice, Reese. That's real nice."

Following the on-air "First" segment, Academy Award winner Witherspoon will stay for an additional 30-minute interview on MTV.com with MTV News' Josh Horowitz. Fans can be part of the action right away by submitting video or text questions starting Monday on MTV.com or via Twitter by using the @MTVNews hashtag #MTVFirst.

"This Means War," the McG-directed comedy-action film, stars Witherspoon as a seductive female dating two of the world's deadliest CIA operatives (played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy), whose partnership and friendship are put in jeopardy when they begin to battle for her affections. Instead of talking to her about the love triangle, they try to settle the matter using all of the weapons at their disposal.

The film also stars one of Witherspoon's real-life pals, comedian and "Chelsea Lately" host Chelsea Handler, who gives Reese's character the terrible advice that she should continue dating both men.
