In the new biopic “33 days (33 Dias)” of legendary painter Pablo Picasso will star Antonio Banderas. The film follows the lives of over 33 artists on the creation of his famous “Guernica“. The film will not focus only on the creation of Picasso’s creative process, but a complicated love story between him and the French artist Dora Maar.
“Picasso’s the guy who chased me for a long time and so far I have always refused to play it. He deserves all my attention. I was born a few streets away from where he was born, and reminds me of me: overcoming the obstacles, as the very young is gone from Malaga. I was fortunate to recently, accidentally meet his daughter Paloma, and she discovered that Picasso never really left the idea to return to Malaga” said Banderas in “El Pais“.
Even though Banderas has done drama in the past, his recent turn in Pedro Almodovar‘s The Skin I Live In
Scenario of the film signs Carlos Saura and the filming is set to begin next summer in Paris and Guernica.
