Sony Records learned the hard way how it looks to seemingly rush into capitalizing on the death of a celebrity. The Beverly Hilton isn't about to make the same morbid mistake.

Despite a report claiming that the fourth-floor hotel room in which Whitney Houston was found was already rebooked, E! News confirms that, to the contrary, the suite remains unoccupied.

"It was not rented, it is not rented and it will not be rented in the foreseeable future," a spokesperson for the Beverly Hilton told E! News of the already infamous room 434.

The spokesperson went on to say that TMZ, which ran the initial report and even claimed that there was currently a party staying in the room, never contacted the hotel to confirm the accuracy of their claim.

Meanwhile, Houston's family is doing their best to work through the tragedy, with Bobby Brown releasing a statement earlier today saying, "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. We ask that our privacy be respected."

Whitney will be laid to rest in Newark's New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday.
