Being a child caught up in the middle of your parent's divorce is not a fun situation, especially if your parents are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

Their oldest daughter, Katherine, opened up to Harper's Bazaar on how she's dealing with this sticky situation.

Step one: Flee to England.

After the scandal of her father's cheating broke out—no, not with her—which ultimately led up to her parents calling it quits, the 21-year-old said she had to "go away and realize that it's not as big a deal in other places."

That along with some retail therapy and blasting Adele's album.

Described as her mother's twin, Katherine also reveals that she feels a much stronger bond with Maria.

"I talk to my mom about six times a day, and we constantly email in between that," she tells the mag. "People say that I'm her twin. I guess it would be the Kennedy genes; my cheekbones are coming out. We'll be at the breakfast table and my mom will look over at me and say, 'I see them!' I've always been way closer to my mom."

But that doesn't mean she's picking sides. "I'm close to my dad, but they're totally different kinds of relationships."

The magazine latest issue will be out on newsstands Aug. 16.
